bankruptcy counseling
Through HaloCare, receive advice and help with Bankruptcy.

Certified and experienced counselors will assist you with learning the options available to you, and with understanding the advantages and disadvantages of each option. Halo has partnered with Alliance Credit Counseling, Inc. to provide this service for HaloCare members and will complete and provide a detailed budget and spending plan to assist you with your decisions.

This process will also include working together to create a realistic spending plan, or budget, that will help you make choices with confidence. The counseling programs are affordable and can be completed by internet or telephone. For individuals with unusual circumstances, we can accommodate special arrangements and times as needed.

Experienced Consultation

Counselors are approved by the Executive Office for United States Trustees (EOUST). Such approval does not endorse or assure the quality of an agency's Service by the EOUST.

Before or During Bankruptcy

Sign up for Pre-petition Credit Counseling budget and briefing Session and/or the Pre-discharge Financial Management Course. Alliance will issue the approved USDOJ Certificates upon completion.

Legal Compliance

We issue Pre-petition Bankruptcy Counseling Certificates in compliance with the bankruptcy code.


Fees for counseling sessions range between $29 and $85 per session. HaloCare members receive a 10% discount off the fees for additional counseling sessions.

Bankruptcy Counseling services and counselors are provided by Alliance Credit Counseling, Inc., which Halo has partnered with to provide this service.
